you could taper porting the standard throttle body although this wont make a difference, then if your bored line up the inlet manifold to the taper ported throttle body located in the boot or even put a bigger throttle body on your dash and still line up the inlet manifold to the bigger throttle wiper,
weld the inlet and exhaust manifolds together=BHP

Oh no, someone who knows nothing about a subject is judging me on it

If you don't want the hassle of changing engines put some twin 40's on it, nice induction noise and you will gain some bhp's too.

 You took the words right out of my mouth.

For the cost of the X14XE it is far more viable to swap engines than it is to tune an antiquated old relic of a lump.

as the title says 1.4 8 valve engine mods

so y wont you post somethin thats benificail, instead of bum cum

this is what you do to a 8 valve plus loads more
you could taper porting the standard throttle body then line up the inlet manifold to the taper ported throttle body or even put a bigger throttle body and still line up the inlet manifold to the bigger throttle,
port match the inlet and exhaust manifolds to the gaskets,

burt Munro time

is your 8v and SPI or MPI?

if MPI dont bother with the change... the 8v MPI isnt that far off the 16v at all...
If its an SPI, bit it and got for the 16v... the c/x16xe if at all possible to be honest

was toying with idea of changing to 1.4 16v,but want to know what engine mods are available for my engine or would it be cheaper to put new engine in?
