yeah f20's with the gsi's

once u have the f28 seperated from the tranny box, it should be clear what has to go where, but u would have to drill and tap holes for the blanking plate using the F20 bit!

with the regal kit it just bolts on in a few minutes, with fresh seals etc. so know it will be alright on the night ;)

Oh, I think I understand what you mean about the gear linkage...

That's more or less what I needed to know. Should be able to do it in a day :o

Does the Astra come with an F20 already? I thought they had F16's? However, as it's not my car I might be able to persuade the guy to just buy the 2WD blanking plate...

Alrighty! give it my best for ya  :o

best way we found was drop the subframe! done both out the top and out the bottom! bottom was best IMHO

Engine Mount - use watever engine mount comes on the LET, could also use the XE mounts.. as some of these are different location top or bottom of block depending on where PAS pump is... can use whatever PAS pump u want without issues of chasis leg like corsa!

Gearbox Mount - Use the standard front f28 mount just bolts straight on

rear g/box mount - use the astra gsi mount.. but u have to tap the F28 box to accept larger bolts. also dont forget the 2wd kit.. can use the seal from the previous f20 box, but for £40 order the real thing from regal!

Linkage, u use half the f28 and half f20 i dont have pics, so hopefully it will be clearer when u have it all out

shafts are all the same as u prob know!

best gettin a frontera cooler..

the MFD wont work now either for fuel consumption as runs off XE injectors.. can get it reprgrammed by a guy on migweb though!

i know ive prob mentioned a lot that you already know!

any more questions just ask!:thumbs::thumbs:

Anyone on here know anything about this conversion?

It should be pretty simple, we have, an F28, the enigne, loom, turbo, intercooler, drive shafts, cv's e.t.c... all from a Calibra Turbo which suffered crash damage.

I think I can figure out how it needs to be fitted, the only issue I can think of at the moment is what to do abou gearbox mounts? Do these need to be swapped to different ones? Possibly from the Calibra?

Any other pointers too please about things I might have missed ;)

Thanks guys.
