just read another post with some1 with the same problem
tread goes back to 16-06-2004 and was posted by shorty235, but it didnt conclude with any solution.
also it was mentioned in the tread about the ciggy lighter not working, and ive check and mine isnt working too, what that to do with the speedo problem i have no idea.

it uses a Siemens Simtec 56.5 ECU ( apparently :rolleyes: )
ive just the fault code check as the speedo stopped working.
i check fuse 18 and it had blown, so i replaced it but the speedo still wasn't working, so after doing the paper clip test i got back the result of

0500 Idle speed stepper motor/idle air regulator.

now this is double dutch to me so can anyone point me in the right direction as to what this means and how i go about fixing it
