its idleing ok, she did have probs last week where it kept cutting out on her but got that sorted with new plugs and leads i think. the engine isnt drowning the noise out it stops when revved, could it be a vacume leak or something

Hissing noise could be steam coming from a over filled coolant if it was to boil. Then maybe the engine might drown the noise out under load. ICV O-Ring is another common source of hissing at idle though. Does it idle erratically?

Hi a friend of mine has got a hissing noise when on idle.

the hissing goes away when accelerating.

The water tank is also full (could this cause it)
