mines a 2000 corsa B, should be exactly the same engine.
mine needed a icv at about 38K, it just idled all over the place and the engine managment light came on.
sounds like it could be a fooked oil pump causing a resistance on the chain which will fook with the idle.

hello. On my sisters corsa 1.2 16v when the engine is already warm and you fire it up the oil pressure light stays on. Also its very noisy at the top end and it struggles to idle untill you rev it a bit. Its recently had new plugs, filters, oil and oil pressure switch but made no difference.

Its not loosing any oil so Im thinking the oil pump is dying maybe? but the cars only done 56K miles since new in 1999, surely it should last longer than that?

or is it something totally different? Also when should the timing chain be changed on these?

Thanks
