it shouldnt start without the fuel relay out. just crank itover a few times and it will depressurise the fuel filter | |

ive never bothered de-pressurising the fuel system when ive done work on these engines. | |

mine doesnt start without the fuel relay aswell | |

it says in the haynes to run the engine with the relat removed.... mine never starts with it removed:o | |

I find just takign it off does the de-pressurising, not like there's much resudla pressure anyways, and no much petrol will be spilt, it evapourate pretty quick anyways. | |

theres a panel down beside the accelerator pedal... its behind it beside the ECU.... | |
