it shouldnt start without the fuel relay out. just crank itover a few times and it will depressurise the fuel filter

ive never bothered de-pressurising the fuel system when ive done work on these engines.

did a fuel filter the other day, got a face full of petrol:lol:

to get the fuel filter off, press the lugs in with a screwdriver, then twist the filter to one side, do the same on the otherside of the clip, and it should come off.

mine doesnt start without the fuel relay aswell

im still tryin to get the fuel filter off can somebody assist me with this clips im starting to try and ragin em off squeezing the plastic clip with pliars but they aint coming off

can somebody help

it says in the haynes to run the engine with the relat removed.... mine never starts with it removed:o

I find just takign it off does the de-pressurising, not like there's much resudla pressure anyways, and no much petrol will be spilt, it evapourate pretty quick anyways.

theres a panel down beside the accelerator pedal... its behind it beside the ECU....

the schrieder valve is on the left hand side of the fuel rail look from the front of the car...

hello

im trying to replace the fuel filter on a corsa sri and have been goin of the page in the tutorial sections but i dont have that purple relay were his is (gsi). i have one at the back but i aint sure about messing with it if im not for sure.

please can somebody advise me

and also what does this guy mean when he says

less hassle to remove the cover and press down the schreder valve on the fuel rail to depressureise the system.

where and what is that?
