Beardy - fpor the temp sensor can't you just splice the original ecu on to the new engine's CTS to give a coolant signal?

for the tacho does it just take a signal off the coil or do you need to feed a signal in to the original ecu too?

Apoart form that, just fit resistors to the original ecu in place of the injectors and coolatn and so on, so it's happy and stuff it behind the dash.

I assume that if you have a corsa C you could put a 1.8 engine ino it out of another corsa C? Without too many problems?

newer engine would be easyer, plug a play....
older engine is alittle bit harder but again not that hard, as a engine only really need is about 7 or so wires to make it run.

the reason why you need 2 ECU's is the car need the old ECU to control the car (lights heater etc) its not like the old style where the ECU just controls the engine, so you have 2 ECU's one to keep the car alive and one to run the engine.
everything else on the wiring dosent look that much of a problem, all i can find is (not looked into this part yet) getting the dash temp to work and i am still reading into the fueling system as thats all controled by an Immobilizer system and the old ECU, so not looked into that yet, BUT can not be that hard as its been done. even if you use a after market fuel pump.....

standard 2lt 16v Shafts and tappered hubs.
engine mounts will need making up (z20let only needs a gearbox one)

think its all this when people wanted to fit 2lt 16v into Novas about a million years ago, and i also remeber the old post where they said you could not fit a Digi Dash into a corsa B.......
Only people do a few more (i plan on doing one) and find out the easy ways around things then they will be alot more........

red top is a bitch to do, u need 2 ecus and shit, i dunno.

if u did any conversion it should be a newer one like the one originally in the car to make it simopliest. so the engine code would start with a z like the z20let

A guy on here the other day posted about fitting a z20let, he said the wiring was easy.

You can fit pretty much any engine into your Corsa C IF you have the money.
The problem with the corsa C is that they have multiplex wiring in them, this makes it very difficult, but not impossible, to do an engine conversion.
The easiest thing to do, if you are after a Corsa C witha bit of go in it, is buy a 1.8 sri.
