My current and past engine regulary go below 25psi when up to temp at idle.

1.5 bar hot idle oil pressure is normal.

you mean the 4psi pressure switch? Yep useless, a better idea is to have a 25psi pressure switch in there, will take longer to go out when you start up, but if it ever comes on you have a better chance of not destroying the engine.

who needs to know if theres oil presure anyways:o mine dont work

this may be due to the wire from the oil presure switch no being present :o

yeah i found the pressure sender and polished it to mirror finish (sad git), just wanted to know the point of the other thing in the sump

The pressure sendor is on the abck of th eoil pump where there's pressure, a pressure sensor in the sump is pretty lame considering the oil in the sump is just a well waiting to be draw in to the pump to be pressureised. ;)
