They are rca leads which go to an amp mate.

Ok, I looked on the back of my headunit, and there are two plugs that look like auxillary in connectors (similar to female AV connectors on your VCR etc) Above them it says Rear Sspeakers, and one has the letter L nxt to it and the other an R.

I take it I can use these to connect my speakers, if so, are there any ready made cables with male connectors avaivalabe?

cheers

It is easier and faster. Speaker wire just run it under the drivers side dash and cable tie it there, and then run it down and under a bit of plastic which you can take off. (sorry explanation is crap today) and then run it under the trim which is next to the door.

Easier and Faster I presume. Where do you run the Wire for the Driver's side rear Speaker? Wire Under the Carpet? Cheers.

It's ok. It dont sound to bad, but it would sound a bit better using solder as you get a better connection. I did mine on saturday. I was going to solder the connections but then it started to rain, so I just used bullet connectors.

Won't the sound quality be bad with bullet connectors?

You can get bullet connectors from halfords or any car shop. I take it you are running a aftermarket headunit? If so take the wiring loom and and on the wires it should say rear speaker left +, rear speaker left -. and same goes for right side. Cut theses wires and bullet connect them to your new speaker wire.

Ok mate, I think thats what im gonna do, do you know where I can get those bullet connectors from, and when I get some how do I attatch them to the cable?

Cheers

If you are going to run 6x9's then just run decent speaker wire from headunit loom to speakers on shelf. The speakers will sound much better compared to standard corsa wire.

Yea I know, but I've already bought the speakers. Im not after any amazing sound, just had 30 quid lying about and thought id put a bit of money into enjoying my car for a change instead of keeping it on the road

I have this same problem :( Got my 6x9's waiting :(

You can solder the speaker wire into the wiring loom of your headunit, or you can use bullet conectors. And then on the speaker you can solder the wire on to them aswell.

I got some 6x9s off Ebay and went to go look in the back of my car (98' Breeze) and theres no speakers or wire there. So I guess i have to run some speaker wire from my headunit to the back, but what connectors do i need for each end? ie to go into headunit and then into speaker?

Cheers
