check undernieth if u can hear it coming from sump mine ended up to be bottom end had gone, 2shells on cylinder 3 was grinding the crank

my noise sounded from the top but u can also hear it undernieth it decieving

My corsa was ticking loudly a week or so ago, it got louder as the days went by, turned out to be oil..once she was filled up she was as quiet as a mouse - kind of :)

its constant when the engine is on. it gets faster as i accellerate. its a engine part prob cus its gettin louder everytime i use the car. and i've had an air filter for last 2 years, no probs there. what could it be people? i;m worried car mite blow up. lol

Corsa C's tick very loudly when you take the airbox off and put a cone on. I know where the ticking comes from but don't know what the bit is. It does it on all of them but you can't normally hear it.

i take it its ticking at idol? if not get ya head in the engine bay and see if u can locate the noise urself, if u can only hear it when driving cheack for stones in ya tyres :look:

the other day, my car was making like a ticking noise queitly coming from somewhere underneath the idle control valve area. but as i've been using car, the ticking is getting louder and louder, especially after motorway driving. the ticking will speed up as i accelerate. i just got back and the ticking is loud as hell. what could it be???? :rolleyes:
