Do you mean on the CTS?

Well the sensor itself just screws into the block, so you replace the sensor itself, which sits inside and outside of the block, its all one unit mate!

Just unplug the connected and crack it off with a spanner, then screw it out by hand and slap another in before all your coolant drains out :P - I recon its bout a 19mm spanner you want, but cant rem precisely.

Tis an easy job.

ok cheers mate,

what part of it is Exactly replaced???
is it just the blue connecter part or a part inside it or both???

i just checked it now and the Blue part of the connecter is cracked on one side! i remember cracking it long time ago when i was checking it
could this be the problem??

Go for the CTS, the output of the sensor only had to be the slightest bit out to fuck over the overrun of your engine. I measure mine when it was shagged and it was only the tiniest bit outa range.

BUT cause it was still within set perametres of the ECU no warning light would ever come on as it didnt exceed tolerances.

in last few months ive noticed car is getting increasingly more jerky when i let go/ease of accelerator?

its only like this when water temp has reached around 90degrees and above, but NEVER jerks when below 90degrees usually when upon start up and while engine is warming up to operating temp??

ive got a cat back exhaust and induction kit, it never used to be jerky with these mods as far as i can remember :o
any ideas:boggle:
