im about to get some 3mm and 5mm leds, BUT they have different MCD ratings from 2,000 upto 10,000??

im guessing the higher the MCD the brighter they are??
what is a good reliable and good durability MCD rating for using behind dials n swithces and stuff in the car??

also what type of resistors should i use with them, they have got 12v STANDARD or BRIGHT resistors?

cheers
