take ya clocks out, unwind the speedo rotor from the top of your gearbox, and get someone to spin the little rotor while you hold the actually cable, if it doesnt turn then its snapped

milage goes on the car not the engine

you could stick a new engine in that has done 0 miles but it would have to stay on what the car had done

cable goes from the back of the clocks to the gear box

where is this cable located from/to? guess i'll just have to take the clocks out and check connections...

BTW adam can you set the mileage on my clocks to what the 1.4 engine did up to?

How old is your Corsa, need to determine whether it is an electric speedo or a cable one... :)

speedo was working fine then suddenly it just stopped working but mileage was working fine, then for a few of the days this month the speedo will go up and down to sound(bass) or tapping on the actual clocks... now its completely stopped and also the mileage has stopped so im guessing from searching on this forum the fuse has gone? but i already checked and all fusses are fine?!?!? could it be a loose connection on the back of the clocks? or what else?
