Check straps which stop door opening too far can be warn causing that horrible noise. Sometimes they just get loose and you can tighten them up, 2 ten mill bolts methinks. If not they want replacing.

have you done this yourself?
is it tricky because you have to support the weight of the door or is it just a bastard job?

any chance of a quick explanation?

about 40p and is a little tricky, it may not be the hinge pin but the hollow one in the middle of the door

door clicks as it opens. this is a worn hinge pin isn't it?
any ideas how hard to replace, how much the bit costs?

cheers
