yeah the F15 box is pretty good IMO. On change-up, it managed to keep the engine right in the power band. The ratios are good for the engine, regardless of modifications. You should try the F10 gearbox, now that has a LONG throw  especially with the 1.2 8v engine

it crunches a hell of a lot now and just had the linkage done. mechanic says its pretty worn out. its just generally feels pretty rough in general. i find the gear changes dont help my accelaration at all really.

Why would an F16 be better? If it fitted, which it wont as its big block....

The the ratio's in the F15 seem fine to me, if I were you I'd fit another one.

How do you know its on the way out?

Alright lads, advice needed. iv got a corsa gsi . just had engine rebuild done and cylinder head sorted hard, new fast road cams and all that, new full stainless exhaust system. orignial gearbox is on its way out so a new one will be needed soon. i was wondering if there is a better gearbox i can bang on. the standard gsi one has quite a long gear change and you notice it more with all my mods, shorter gear change needed i guess. what should i do? any help appreciated
