JUST HEADER TANK FUEL LINES AND BOBS YA UNCLE!

Should have just stuck a valver in.

Idle Air control Valve, its on the throttle body, two screws hold it on, but nightmare to get to, they cost about £40-50 new, have to remove upper inlet manifold, header tank, take fuel lines off fuel rail, if ya lucky you might be able to get to it now, if not ya gotta remove some other stuff, carnt remember what cos i have always managed it with the first set of steps

Got a problem with a Tigra with 1.6 16v engine. Symptoms are:-

Won't idle until engine management light comes on

When driving, light goes off but stalls when clutch is depressed and revs drops. Light then comes back on

Stutters under acceleration and it lumpy as fook when driving.


First thoughts are EGR valve but I'm told its been cleaned and rebuilt, wasn't replaced.

Any clues anyone?
