woah! DONT drive it like that. It WILL fry your ECU and whole electrical system. Youve poped a diode from the sounds of it. Replace the altenator NOW but dont drive with it like that. You sure your multimeter isnt reading wrong? havent your headlights / bulbs allready poped?

Jesus, where did you get your alternator from, Sellafield?

Try swapping for a different alternator, you can just send it back if it doesn't cure it.

Have you tried the multimeter on the alternator output or just battery terminals?

my battery is at about 20v when runing anyone else had this problem and what did you do to sort it out.
