Your probably right there!

Still good that a nova was quickest car of the day even if its 2.82 isn't exact.

As I said though, my car is quicker than the 6.2 I did.

Oh, the 1.6 16v with the above mods running on 15"s i'd say 7.5 - 8.5

60 not a true measurement of acceleration

i dont think a bfo exhaust would help in the performance stakes, its far too big bore, the only corsa it would benefit is the turbo diesels.

may not be ligtning but it will handle alot better. i had my car stripped out the rear front and rear strut and 40mn suspension kit and it handle foooooookin well. is worth it if u can do it!!!!

i reckon around the high 7's, low 8's. I got an accurately timed 0-60 of 8.7 seconds in my old 1.6 Sport standard.

low 7's I would say due to stripped interior

luca2020

well nova gsi = 100bhp
corsa gsi = 109, but is heavyer so there about the same speed upto 70-80 then the gsi should be able to edge its self away due to having 16 valves

what is ur aim then? just 0-60 times or what

Well put it this way, is it worth the hassle, or wud a cheap Nova GSI be not far of it

luca2020

posted on 5th Feb 04 at 22:51

well ud probley have around 130bhp

id say 7-8 seconds, but 0-60 is such a poor thing to time how quick a car is

Corsa

1.6 16v engine/either a C16XE or X16XE.

BFO exhaust
Pipercross Viper
Inlet manifold

Totally stripped interior, no carpet, roof lining, door cards etc.
Just 2 buckets and a momo wheel.

Oh and some Pro Race 1 alloys, since their light.

This is the project me and my mate are lookin at, but not sure if its worth the cash for the power??
