I can only do the heater panel in red, blue, white or green at the moment in plug and play.

Should be no problem then, a 470 resistor will let you run a typical 3.3v 20ma led at 12 volts or more no problem, thats what I've been using for nearly 2 years now.

yeh sorry mate - typo! i meant 470! and i'm pretty sure they are about 8000mcd. they are fookin brite!:!

Do you mean 470 Ohm, you can't get a stock resistor at 460. How are you actually fitting them, also, do you know the mcd (brightness) rating, you say they are "superbrite", I've seen 3000-4000mcd leds described as this, but they will be too dull for your dials.

no idea on the spec mate. got the LEDs from ebay and the guy said in the auction that they would work on 12V with the resistors he provided (which are 460-ohm). i guess i shouldnt have taken his word for it! gonna have to find my own resistors. what would you recommend for 12V application if i'm replacing a 1.2W bulb? i also noticed that now i've replaced my interior lights with LEDs (that did have 5W bulbs in them) the LED's stay on dimly when the interior light should be off :boggle:
i'm still playing with the resistor values and my multimeter :P

Dave, if your dash and heater lights are all going on and off together, that sounds like an electrical problem.

Dan, whats the spec of the leds your using and what value resistor?

i'm gonna get out me multimeter and try matchin the resistance of my LED/resistor setup to the bulb. i'll let you guys know if i get anywhere wiv it!

I hav just replaced my dash and heater bulb controls m8!!!
To get your heater panel off just prise it it off wid screwdriver thats all i did !!
remove the knobs by gently pulling them off and move the white bit off plastic and the bulbs are sat behind them!!
just gently pull them out and swap them.

cheers,
