The Unichip can be 'switched off' ie instructed not to make any alterations to the standard map. So if you refit the CAT and switch the Unichip off, you should be OK. You'll need a laptop though to access the Unichip | |

thanx ladz but niether of ya have really answered question i will have a cat on for every MOT just i wanna no does the unichip need altering every time u add/remove the cat for the MOT | |

to be honest your car will prob still fail its MOT with the cat on... :lol: just find a nice station | |

basicaly my 1.6 16v has 4branch/cat-back/filter, i have just booked it in to velos to have a torque-tube/unichip/arp bolts some head work the last mod im after is a decat pipe my question is once the engine is mapped with a decat when i come to MOT it i will have to put the cat back on will it affect the emissions test and the car in general as it will have been mapped to suit a decat cheez |
