for the red top just change simple but important things like cam belt+rollers, oil filter+oil, possibley water pump etc | |

line boring, head skimmed, to be honest lots of it probably isn't worth doing unless its neccesary, my uncle rebuilds engines for a living. | |

well ive got a recipet for my engine from the previous owner who had a full rebuild from vauxhall on my gsi engine, cost over 3k, tho that is from vauxhall | |

depends on how much ur rebuilding, a full rebuild will cost loads in parts | |

Its all in the Haynes. Quite a few bits need replacing I'm sure - once you have it opened up. | |

am sure that you need all gaskets replacing and seals and then ya check the internals see if they are alright:thumbs: | |

hi everyone. was just wondering ( makes me sound abit dumb) what is all envolved in engine rebuilding. wot parts need replaced and what sort of money is needed for parts only. im gonna have a go at this when i get a redtop. have a couple of m8s who are mechanics and could give me a hand if needed... |
