dave 1.4 sports go between no 4 cylinder and water jacket you will have all the symptons you have and no oil water mixing so no sludge as its not near any oil ways

after reading this i feel my head gasket is very gone!

although i only have these

high pressure in water tank
water loss in tank (full yest, al gone now)
thick white smoke
miss fire in the morning

thats all, there no sludge or oil in coolant tank

water loss, loads of pressure in cooling system eg big hiss when taking coolant cap off and miss fire whan first starting up in the morning for a few seconds.

Oil in coolant tank, thick white smoke from exhaust, lumpy running, blown engine, white sludge on oil filler cap/dipstick.

How can you tell if your headgasket has gone, whats the main symptons? sorry about the silly question.
