:( i am slow then

btw, anyone got any information on how to wire through the multiplug on the doors? just that i need to replace the wiring from teh crossover to the amp (when i get one) and just wondering how to do it :)
cheers again all

Upgraded wire was done at a later stage along with the central locking i installed, which took me a day at most.

In total i:

Replaced the speaker with the comp driver. Mounted the crossover on either kickpanel. Positioned and mounted the tweeter in either corner of the dash and ran wiring down to the kickpanels. Ran wire to the amp in rear. Wired it all up and shazzam. 30 - 40 minute job.

half hour?!
did that include cutting the tweeter cover out and fitting it, putting the crossover somewhere (which is a box jobby on the infinity's), fitting the subwoofer and adding the speaker cable into the door!? :boggle: damn i must be doing something wrong ;)

The only way i could see it taking half hour is if you where replacing the standard speakers with coxials, whcih would be a simple case of cutting the block, putting on autolead converter and fitting it.

to behonest, im taking my time at it, so i can plan ahead and see where i might be going wrong etc. However, if it had an empty garage then it would only have taking me a day or two at most. Because its dark by 4:30-5pm im screwed :( Oh wells, tomorrow im doing some more and the drivers side shall be finished  just need to change the crossover position on the passengers and im sorted too :)

infact, you dont need to take the door cards off, i lie.

really easy, as said above takes half hour max to do both sides, and most of that time is taking the door cards off and putting them bk on.

When i first fitted components to my corsa B it took me about half hour. Was dead easy.

i dont think fitting front comps are a piece of piss, but they arnt inpossible :) Im doing mind now and so far it has taken me a few weekends :( But im a slow worker and am taking time at it, ive already made a few mistakes - like placing the left doors cross over in the pocket, when i could have fitted it in the foam behind the door cards (which i have done on the drivers side). So gotta take the left door apart again and redo it
but hey its all fun

Austin - it was this crippled guy who runs cheltenham hi fi i think its called. However his assistant sold me an alpine cd player and fitted it for free so i thought PGTF to your stupid fitting prices.

£140

Its dead easy!! only tricky bit is getting the tweeter cover off on a corsa C. If youve got a corsa B then its even easier

is it easy to do?

if any1 here has had theirs fitted. how much did you pay?

I have been quoted £140 for fitting my £139.99 infinity speakers...to me that is way over priced would anyone agree?
