I've got 2.0 16v Astra Gsi brakes and after seeing a Gsi Corsa with Standard brakes my Astra Gsi ones are far superior ken ;)

No point uprading your standard small brakes.

GSi's Nooo, look for Cav GSi, Astra GSi, Calibra 16v, Cav CD etc

Corsa GSi discs are 256 x 21mm
2.0 Astra/Cav etc are 256 x 24mm.

Yours will be about 230x8mm

And no, on plain discs like you have, u might as well just upgrade the whole brakes for cheap. 2.0 16v calipers are usually the cheapest (Scrappy) or they do V6 brakes now in 4 stud for about £200.

THink your mi-sunderstanding the word dude.

Vented means, if you look at the disc from the front, it'll be like two discs put together, but with a space between them, hence vented discs.

Grooved discs are discs that have grooves running along the flat surface of the disc. The area where the pad connects to the disc.

Drilled, fairly obvious, holes in the disc.

U can't fit them to your standard caliper no. Cna't mix and match standard stuff really till you get to the 2.0 16v size brakes.

gsi discs are vented but i think they are wider (vent) than a normal corsa disc and so the claiper has to be replace, im not sure what caliper comes on the TD models though. i would assume its the same as the gsi cos TD cavs and atras have the top spec cav/astra brakes

Are the gsi disk brakes vented ? if they are can i fit them to my standard caliper of my TD as they are solid ?

Thanks again for any help !!!
