I know

But what made him change??

Apart from the fact the SRi looks ace the sxi had 30k miles on the clock, my mum had an old corsa envoy she needed rid of so we thought may as well get a new car. Also my dad is the manager at belmont vauxhall in aberdeen so we get discounts:) Still got the sxi for sale if anyone wants to buy it.

I did'nt have those 3 spokes got the proper 15", and I have got electric windows/mirors.

Had to pay a premium for all that tho.
Smoked the lights myself too

It's an SXi 1.7DTi but I'd put £3 worth of extras on it like the climate control, abs, uprated stereo, twin tailpipes etc. It came with the year's free insurance and part of the policy was that the car would be replaced if it would cost more than 60% of its new price but this is including extras. Had it been bog standard it would have been a write off but, because of the extras, it would have needed about £800 more damage. I should have got the police to damage it a bit more when they tried to drive it off the road (with one wheel at a 30 degree angle) - as it was they only damaged a wheel bumping it up a kerb.
As for the repair, I was amazed at the panel fit tbh. It was spot on. As it is, I've seen loads of new, undamaged Corsas with appalling panel fit, especially around the bonnet/wing area. The only evidence you can see really is a slight colour off between the top of one wing and the front door under certain lighting conditions but you'd need to know it was there to see it.

y wasnt it classed as a write off? with that cash, ud get a new corsa lol...btw i need new door and wing on mine..im scaared that onces it done the door doesnt fit flush etc..when urs was repaired could u tell there was ever damage on it?

No problems with mine either. New in May with 14,000 miles on the clock now. Trouble is it was off the road for a month back in August as a truck spun a Volvo into it causing £6k damage. No problems with the car but will I ever be able to sell a car that's had to have a new wing, two new doors, bonnet, grill, lights, two new wheels, new tyre, new front suspension and umpteen bits of trim together with a virtual full re-paint? Such is life...

Never had a problem in the first year. All went down hill after that

I can't belive how many of you have had major and minor probs with your new Corsa's:!
Look thru the forum and you'l see broken steering racks, gearboxes, smelly air vents ;), blown fuses etc.
Maybe I hace just been lucky that I got one of the very early models and (X plate) and had no major or annoying trivial probs at all.
