Yes and No... I think you can enter just on your own but there isnt much point. Its a team competition. Originally it seemed to be Marque specific teams but in the last few years there were teams from clubs/forums running GTRs/EVO's/Imprezas etc.

3 main candidates to win are MLR, 22B or GTRoC.

I think Nic is racing with Vauxsport?! Fee is in the GTRoC team and the car above is in 22B team (Andy Forrest).

Normally these teams are selected well in advance - not just a turn up on the day type affair.

What about the air going under it though?? Will that not just have a negative affect, and cancel out the air pushing down onto that thing?? Serious question btw.

does a plane go down when it picks up speed? (flaps ignored)

A plane wing is a similar device but the other way round.

Air is sped up under it, low pressure formed below the wing - giving negative lift, downforce.

wind tunnel - I doubt it. He isnt an F1 team with millions of pounds. BUT the wing shape/profile will have figures calculated (CFD) and such like I'd think.
